Have you ever been in the pit? That place of pain, of despair, of self-pity? Don’t we all find ourselves there once in a while? When life throws us curve balls, or some times just takes us out at the knees. Broken hearts? Debt? Health Issues? Loneliness? Disappointment? Days or even sometimes seasons of life that seem like “I can’t take one more thing going wrong!”.
I’ve been in the pit. Notice I haven’t blogged much? I can tell you the day, February 21. I woke up and my aching back was just that…an aching back. And every day since has been chronic pain. I haven’t been feeling very funny (and I like to be funny), upbeat, or even nice. And I’ve let myself slowly go deeper into the pit.
So if you’re in a pit, I feel for you. I pray for you. Let’s get out together. Let’s count our blessings today, let’s make just one positive effort today. Mine started with making the hubby cherry turn-overs…that may be it for the day, it may not…but it’s a start. Satan wants me in this pit, and I’m not staying here. Pain or no pain, I’m holding God to his promise…

I’ll say a prayer for you. Been there. Done that.
Spent the morning with a friend who’s in that pit right now. This verse was in my mind I left her after praying but felt sooooo inadequate We’ve been there before and my heart aches for her so I know for sure the Gods heart is breaking too. Hope you are not still in that place.
