Home Sweet 5th Wheel…

Most of you know the story. My Big Boy and I have moved from the Kansas prairies to the Pennsylvania Mountains. And we’re living in our 5th Wheel. I know that’s hard to imagine, but here’s a photo I took this week, so you can get a pic of what it’s like.

Beautiful, isn’t it? And once you get used to living without a bathtub and dishwasher, it’s easy living. We don’t know how long we’ll choose to live this way, at least one more winter. And as we do, I’ll take time to enjoy the beautiful things God has given me.

I watch my little red bird sitting on my Kansas sunflowers and think “it doesn’t get any better than this”.

Praying that you have the same feeling today.  Blessings. 🙂

About 49andcounting

Hi! I'm a mom, wife, grammy, sister, friend at that ALMOST 50 age!! (Okay, since I started this a few years ago...well, add a bit to 49andcounting!) How the heck did I get here so fast?!? I love, love, love- my girls, antiques, rural America, history, Jesus, junkin, the lake and my Big Boy...not particularly in that order. It's about time I change this profile a bit. After a year or living in our 5th wheel in beautiful Pennsylvania, My Big Boy and I are back to the Kansas Prairies. And there's just nothing like "Home Sweet Home". Hitting the Big 50 has its own unique, well...let's say...blessings :) So come along, laugh with me...cry with me...praise God with me...and let's do this 49andcounting thing, together!

SO jealous! I would trade places with you in a heartbeat! I am looking forward to the day I can plan my life instead of my job. I will not have those georgous mountains as my backdrop but I can sit on my back porch and savor the beauty the Lord has given us on our own little farm…wishing you a great day as well friend! 🙂

    • I know you’ll find this hard to believe, but there are actually days when you are not “working” that you wish you were! Grass is always greener, isn’t it? That’s why I’m trying my best to “thank God where I’m at”. Wishing you love and peace.

One additional blessing “in disguise” in your photos. Everytime we see a red bird or cardinal we say “there’s Dad (Elwood)”. He loved the cardinals in his backyard. After we figured that out we noticed he visits quite often!
