Last night I opened the door to step outside, and was hit with a wave of hope. Who would have thought that 34 degrees would feel like a heat wave? The night sky was clear, with a gleaming moon and twinkling stars. And for a moment, I felt ‘hope’ in my heart.
Hope for flowers budding, and grass greening.
Hope for evenings outside in the lawn chair.
Hope for shorts and flip-flops.
Hope for that golden glow of sun tanned skin.
Hope for inspiration to exercise and lose this winter weight.
Hope for supper on the grill.
And this morning, I stepped outside and heard birds singing. Ahhh. Hope.
Hope that all things can change.
Hope that everyday is a new day. Hope that Spring is near.
Hope…that Punxatawney Phil called it right!
