I love living in Kansas on my little piece of the prairie.
Mornings start like this…

and this…

and a little of this…

and just when I think I’m finished thanking God for my bountiful blessings…I take a good look at this…

“Oh beautiful for spacious skies and amber waves of grain…”
Wow, life on the prairie can be so good. 🙂
Blessings to you.

About 49andcounting
Hi! I'm a mom, wife, grammy, sister, friend at that ALMOST 50 age!! (Okay, since I started this a few years ago...well, add a bit to 49andcounting!) How the heck did I get here so fast?!?
I love, love, love- my girls, antiques, rural America, history, Jesus, junkin, the lake and my Big Boy...not particularly in that order.
It's about time I change this profile a bit. After a year or living in our 5th wheel in beautiful Pennsylvania, My Big Boy and I are back to the Kansas Prairies. And there's just nothing like "Home Sweet Home".
Hitting the Big 50 has its own unique, well...let's say...blessings :) So come along, laugh with me...cry with me...praise God with me...and let's do this 49andcounting thing, together!
So beautiful!! What a blessing to live there! 🙂
Front porches are always a good thing but in the country they are really special. Steve and I drink coffee and linger long now that our work lives have slowed down (but not stopped). We are usually out by early dawn. By-the-way…Alec and Kendra and their four boys just moved to rural Kingman and now live 10 miles north of sister Tana and family.
Suellen, so nice to hear from you…think of you often. I love the early mornings…is my time of day…me and the little bird that starts singing before 5am!
Those photos of Kansas are just so (words can describe)
