I caught a few minutes of the “Dr. Oz” show yesterday, and he was talking “nip and tuck”. Here’s the deal…until he pointed it out…I didn’t know I had little bags beginning below my eyes! This morning I’m dabbing on a little moisturizer (no, not Baby Magic, I’ve changed to the anti-wrinkle stuff)( https://49andcounting.wordpress.com/2010/10/22/laugh-lines-or-wrinkles) and what do I see…bags under my eyes!!
Then I begin the process of pulling the skin taught here and there…and sure enough, I could look younger!! Darn that Dr. Oz…I was perfectly okay with my face…other than a wrinkle here or there, I didn’t consider my face noticeably aging! Now, every time I look in the mirror, I’m sure I’ll see those dark saggy circles.
If that’s not enough, Chris (Kardashian) Jenner just made a trip to the plastic surgeon, and thanks to her ‘not being okay with how her body was aging’, wouldn’t you know, I have a little crease under my chin that could be tightened! I am just soooo glad that I don’t have the ‘wanting to look good in a bikini’ issues that she has!
Thank goodness that my checkbook balance is low enough and my fear of pain high enough that there will be no plastic surgery for me.
Today’s 49andcounting life lesson…turn off reality tv!
Bruce Jenner, aka Mr. Kardashian, is a cautionary tale in why NOT to have nips and tucks: http://www.celebrityplasticsurgery.tv/bruce-jenner-plastic-surgery-gone-bad He was a sexy MAN before, Cat Lady now…Sad…
I don’t intend to get any plastic unless, God forbid, I’m injured in some way. I turn 46 on Friday. There is nothing wrong with natural aging, despite what we are being conditioned to believe these days! That being said, there is nothing wrong with taking care of yourself…I do the over the counter retinols and stuff myself. And exercise, proper diet is great! But, thinking that we have to look 20 when we’re 50? Er, no…that never works anyway. Melanie Griffith & Priscilla Presley, two more reasons to not go plastic!
I’m with you on that girl! Happy Birthday to you…46! You’re just a kid!
Thanks! LOL…watch for me in a few years….I’ll be 70 and Counting. You’ve inspired me! 😉
