It happened! They Came! Success! I’m so excited!
The long story…I’ve moved the bird feeder three times (maybe more)…actually to three different locations! We’ve had tons and tons of rain. And finally I put it back in the first spot, right next to the muddy flower bed. More than once I went out and sprinkled birdseed on the ground around it. Just a couple of days ago, I gave in and removed the dangling crystals. (Who knew why the birds weren’t coming, but maybe it was the bling!)
Today, after two weeks of waiting…not so patiently (in fact, I’d kinda given up on the birds..and decided it was just a piece of yard art)…they came! And a red bird at that!
Makes me think of Psalms 30:5 for some reason. “Joy cometh in the morning.” Not that I’ve been weeping…but I have been waiting…hoping…believing (well, most of the time). And isn’t that what God wants us to do? And this morning, I am “over-the-top”, “happy-dancing”, “heart-swelling”….Joyful!
