Build It and They Will Come…

We’re talking my bird sanctuary here. And my $3 crystal lamps.

I told you I picked two crystal lamps for $3 and the minute I got them home my creative genius started! LOL

Actually, one lamp was an easy fix. Windex, light bulb, switch…waalaa!! Beeuteeful! (Although at this point, it doesn’t have a shade.)

The second was in a bit more disrepair…so, we (gotta give the Big Boy some credit) (I’m the idea woman, he’s the accomplisher?) pulled the electric wires, searched flea markets and garage sales for the perfect shallow plate, drilled a hole in the center of the plate, attached it to the lamp, and….A Bird Feeder!!! With hanging crystals at that!

Now, I’m not quite sure if hanging crystals attract or distract birds, because at this point, I haven’t seen one bird land on the thing. But as of this morning I’ve moved it farther out in the grasslands…closer to the trees…and I’m hoping that great movie line holds true. “Build It and They Will Come.”
