Finally, finally after 3 weeks of pain, have something that might help. You know what 3 weeks of pain will do to ya…well, it’ll make you grumpy, that’s for sure. Sweet little ole me talked back to a receptionist at the Dr.’s office today. In that, “well, thank you for nothing”…mode. So out of character..I may think those things, but don’t often say them, and possibly even in a cutting manner. Anyway, the man gave me some decent pain pills while we’re fixing the back problem. Right now, I love my Dr., although he could be my child, I swear he looks sixteen. (Is that how it gets when we’re 49andcounting, everyone under 30 looks 16?) And by the way…yes, I am considering calling and apologizing. That’s what Jesus would do. Of course, he wouldn’t have bitten her head off in the first place.
Just a few random thoughts, because I have nothing “unrandom” to write about that would’t be a novel.
*I had a “hero” moment last week. Saving a little old lady at 2:30 in the morning, who had fallen and was laying flat-out in the dirt. She would have been there til morning. Long story.
*My two favorite colors of green. Winter wheat and jonquils…when I see them, I think “spring is almost here”.
*I rode through airports in a wheelchair on Sunday. A first, and hopefully a last. But talk about the way to travel…other than the embarrassment, it was great. Long story.
*Kids say the darndest things, like “grammy, you have kind of a big hiney”. Too funny, not mine, my sister’s. Oh, grandkid that is!
*You get back what you give. So if you happen to be a secretary in a Dr.’s office, you might want to be sugary sweet to patients. (Not so long of a story!)
Blessings and love to you…
At least you didn’t say “well, we won’t be bothering you again” and hung up only to realize they had the test results you desperately needed. Grrrr!!!! Hope the back gets to feeling better.
