Whoa, what a week. I’m past the point of no return, so if you want to kick somebody, yell a little, get rid of any anger…hit me with your best shot, you can use me as your personal punching bag. I can take it. Now’s your chance, I won’t ask twice!
One of the first blogs I ever posted was about “Ruby”. Ruby was quite the character, but what I remember most (even as a little girl) was…don’t ask Ruby how she is! Because an hour later you would know more about Ruby and her body parts than any person should rightfully know!
I’m kinda feeling like Ruby this week. So we won’t go into details, but take two family members with major medical drama (diabetes and stroke), excruciating (ok, that was a little Ruby) back pain, and one speeding ticket (not mine, but I got the meltdown)…and it’s been a heck of a week. Do you ever feel like, “when it rains it pours”. I’ve had one of those weeks. And tonight, I’m headed back to Pennsylvania.
No matter how tough my week has been, I know that there are so many with much more on their plate. I pray for those in Japan, Hawaii, and the West Coast. And I also believe that you’ve gotta experience a few of the valleys to fully appreciate the mountain top. So, I’m thankful for being in Kansas and the center of the USA, I’m thankful for family to love on, I’m thankful to be alive, and I’m even thankful for those pesky officers that are here to protect us!
And if I was the least bit helpful, for you to take a minute or two to let it all out…I’m thankful for that too.
