Are you wondering ‘what’s next?’ for your life? I started this blog with a goal in mind, my 50th birthday. Now that the birthday has come and gone (and we all know that I am still 49andcounting) the question hounding me is, ‘where do I go from here?’ Do I continue to blog, and if so, about what? But what it’s really got me to thinking about is how many other people are asking the same words of themselves?
My friend heartbroken from a thirty year marriage crumbling. “Where Do I Go From Here?”
The neighbor who has lost his job and has a family to take care of. “Where Do I Go From Here?”
The college student ready to graudate. “Where Do I Go From Here?”
The family who has just lost their daughter, mother, sister. “Where Do I Go From Here?”
Or those that have taken the wrong path in life. “Where Do I Go From Here?”
What I know is that there is always hope. Always a new beginning. Did you know that God’s mercies are new each day?
No matter how hopeless, or disappointed we feel as we lie down at night,God’s promise to us is that we will not be consumed. When we awaken God is there to renew us. To give us hope, to lead us and guide us, to guard our hearts.
It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. – Lamentations 3:22-24
Your question may be as trivial as ‘to blog or not blog’, or it may be as life changing as losing a spouse. But I do know God hears your voice, he hears you asking “where do I go from here?”. Pray, seek Him, Listen and Believe…the answer will come. I promise He has a plan for you.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11
