On A Day Like Today…

Somedays I have to pray for a big dose of grace.

Somedays I cry out to God to shut my mouth or give me the right words.

Somedays I pray for more kindness and gentleness.

Somedays I sigh, “Oh Lord, how can you love me?” and
somedays I weep because He does love me.

Somedays I utter, “but there for the grace of God go I”. “Thank you Lord for the blessings.”

And somedays I pray “Oh Lord, lead me and guide me…please show me your way, because I can sure mess it up on my own.”

Somedays I cry, “Jesus, I don’t even know what words to say.”

And today he put three words on my heart…and then some.  And then some grace, and then some kindness, and then some forgiveness, and then some guidance.  I can never have enough on my own, I can never have too much.

All these things I seek from you Lord…and then some.

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. ( Psalms 34:17 *NKJV )

About 49andcounting

Hi! I'm a mom, wife, grammy, sister, friend at that ALMOST 50 age!! (Okay, since I started this a few years ago...well, add a bit to 49andcounting!) How the heck did I get here so fast?!? I love, love, love- my girls, antiques, rural America, history, Jesus, junkin, the lake and my Big Boy...not particularly in that order. It's about time I change this profile a bit. After a year or living in our 5th wheel in beautiful Pennsylvania, My Big Boy and I are back to the Kansas Prairies. And there's just nothing like "Home Sweet Home". Hitting the Big 50 has its own unique, well...let's say...blessings :) So come along, laugh with me...cry with me...praise God with me...and let's do this 49andcounting thing, together!
