I’m A Coffee Addict, Are You?

I didn’t make my usual pot of coffee this morning. Every morning, I’m up by 6 am, and before I even make it to the little girls room, I start the pot of coffee. I’m talking, sleep walking, banging cupboard doors, spilling coffee beans. All that, until….I start my coffee grinder and smell the sweet aroma of coffee! Ahhhh. My heart begins to race, my eyes begin to open. Yes, coffee…strong, strong coffee. I like to call it “Cowboy Coffee”, meaning you’d better be pretty tough to drink it. That’s the way I like my coffee.
Well, today for some odd reason, I didn’t make coffee. Probably the first time in like 20 years I haven’t started coffee. And you know what they say about withdrawals. I didn’t even know I was addicted. But…
It’s not even noon and I have had two glasses of chocolate milk, two pieces of toast slathered in butter, one coke, and one (I hate to admit it) cup of chocolate brownie mix!! Oh darn, and I forgot to mention the spoonful (big spoon) of peanut butter. Do you have those crazy things you eat that you wouldn’t want anyone to know? Come on, fess up. I just did!
And tomorrow, I will be up early making coffee!

You have passed the torch because without about 3 cups I’m a bum. EWW and if you put the brownie mix in the freezer it’s even better!

I do love the smell and the taste of coffee. What a wonderful thing God created for us to enjoy here on earth. I think heaven might smell like fresh dark coffee grounds… don’t you?
