All week long, it has been snowing here in Pennsylvania. Every day I look out to pretty white snowflakes coming down. It falls like glitter. Beautiful. Other than the cold, I have really enjoyed it.
Call me crazy, but in Kansas when it snows, there’s something to show for it. Here, thus far, I can’t even get a good snow photo! (Note new header on blog. I tried!) There’s no accumulation! A little skiff on the ground, and the windshield is covered til the wind blows. Sure couldn’t pick up a handful, maybe you could write your name in it. But that’s it! Where is it going?
(I know, I know…I may really be regretting this post sometime in the near future when I’m knee-deep to a…well you know what I mean). But for today, this Kansas girl is perplexed. In all my 49andcounting years I’ve never run across this one. It’s probably a really easy answer but, I just can’t figure it out?!
And when it really comes down to it…some things aren’t to be figured out. Maybe, just maybe, it’s God’s way of changing my negative little ‘yuck, it’s snow’ attitude. If you’ve been reading this blog, count with me…that’s two times now.
“Take a moment, Michaela, and enjoy the snow.” Wow, isn’t it amazing that God loves me so much He wants to gently correct my bad attitude and share with me His beautiful God glitter! Praying that today you also hear God’s voice in the small things.
Love ya, Suzie Snowflake!
I love the “God glitter” description!
Hey Brenda, call some people who aren’t so close. Maybe they’re feeling the same way as you, could be a fun way to get to know someone better, and ‘who knows?’, may be new best friends! I think it sounds like a “God idea”…and what I know is that ‘He’s got the perfect plan’!
