This 49andcounting retired/semi-retired gig has its own moments……
Such as: Do you know how hard it is to pluck your eyebrows with your reading glasses on? I’ve gotta wear the darn reading glasses to even see what I’m doing! And trying to pluck over the top of eyeglasses is near impossible. Believe it’s time to give it up and go for the regular waxing.
Have spent all week surfing the internet to find a place to visit for a nice relaxing 3 day weekend. Ahhhhh….too many choices. I’ve spent hours connecting to links to eat, play, shop, stay. What will it be, what will it be?? After all that the “big boy” informs me last evening, “honey, we may not be able to get away”. Darn him, I spent some many stressful hours making decisions! LOL
The kids sent pics of the grandbabies all dressed up in their Halloween costumes. A giraffe, a robot (that even lit up), and a Hershey’s kiss. As we laughed at the photos and made “grandbaby” phone calls, I thought for a moment how lucky we are to be the grandparents…just enjoying the moment and not having to put all the work into creating the costumes! You should have seen the robot!
Ahhh…this middle age thing is not so bad.
listen..I have a secret..my reading glasses don’t do the trick..I bought a small makeup bag sized magnifying beauty mirror ( or as my kids call it..mama’s scary mirror) it gets the plucking done and shows you other things you don’t want to see but need plucking..like the growing bits under the chin..but shhh thats our secret 🙂 lol great post.
